Ride at your own pace with remote support from the team. This is a road tour, without a riding guide or support vehicle.

Motorcycle cover.

Standard motorcycle cover has a €1,200 excess. Optional Premium costs €120 for this tour; confirm full terms and exclusions with Kush.

Leave spare luggage at the Barcelona base while you explore the mountains. Ask the team about the equipment that suits your trip.

Not included: flights, fuel, unspecified meals and drinks, entrance tickets, cancellation cover and optional riding equipment.

Leave Barcelona and head towards the Cerdanya valley for your first taste of the Catalan Pyrenees. Spend the night in Puigcerdà.

Follow mountain roads towards Val d’Aran, with time for viewpoints and stops along the way. Your second overnight stay is in the valley.

Continue towards the Tena Valley through Pyrenean mountain scenery. The detailed route and any border crossings depend on pass openings, weather and road conditions.

Ride towards the Sobrarbe region and Aínsa, with time to explore the medieval town after arriving at your accommodation.

Can I choose my start date?

Enter your preferred start date in DD/MM/YYYY format. Confirm motorcycle, hotel availability and seasonal route conditions with Kush before booking flights.

Is this a road tour or an off-road tour?

This six-day self-guided itinerary is a road tour. You ride independently with a prepared itinerary and remote support. Off-road riding, a guide and a support vehicle are not included.

Where do I collect and return the motorcycle?

The tour starts and finishes at our Barcelona base. Confirm the collection point, handover and return times with Kush before arranging travel.

How do the rooms and prices work?

Solo prices include a single room for five nights. The rider-and-pillion option shows the total for two people sharing one motorcycle and a twin room. Breakfast is included. Two riders on separate motorcycles should ask Kush about sharing a room.

What motorcycle cover is included?

Standard cover has a €1,200 excess. Premium costs an additional €120 and reduces the excess to €300, or €500 for the Tiger 1200. Confirm full terms and exclusions with the team. Cancellation cover is not included.

Can I add riding equipment?

The optional Fly & Ride pack includes helmet, jacket, trousers, gloves and boots for €295. The Shot airbag vest with cartridge is €180. Premium motorcycle cover is a separate €120 selection. Only selected options are included in the booking total.

Can weather affect the itinerary?

Mountain roads and passes are weather-dependent. Confirm the suitable season and current route with Kush. The map is a schematic overview; follow the detailed route information provided for your departure.

Is the Transpyrenean motorcycle route difficult?

What bike do I need for the Pyrenees?

You don't need the biggest bike — you need the right one for the terrain.

  • Trail and adventure touring bikes are the kings of the Pyrenees: they handle rough tarmac and mountain passes with ease.
  • Minimum recommended power of 50 hp to avoid straining the engine on long climbs.
  • If you rent with us, every bike is pre-selected for this specific route.
  • Touring or mixed tyres — off-road rubber is only needed for optional off-piste stages.

What's the best time of year to go?

The Pyrenees have a window: pick the right time and the route is perfect; pick wrong and snow closes the passes.

  • May–June: the best option. Passes are open, vegetation is lush and traffic is light.
  • July–August: manageable heat at altitude, but busy tourist valleys.
  • September–October: spectacular autumn light and near-empty roads. Second best option.
  • November–April: passes closed or icy — not recommended.

What gear do I need for the mountains?

In the Pyrenees you can leave at 28°C and arrive at the pass in 12°C and rain. Gear is not optional.

  • Technical jacket with waterproof membrane and removable liner — essential.
  • Layering system: thermal base + mid-layer + outer shell.
  • Summer gloves and cold/wet gloves: at altitude you'll need both.
  • If you rent our Fly & Ride Pack, everything is included and CE-approved.

How many km per day is reasonable?

In the Pyrenees, 100 km can take as long as 300 km on a motorway. The pace changes completely.

  • Between 100 and 200 km per day is the ideal range — enough to enjoy without burning out.
  • Mountain passes lower your average speed — plan with real riding time, not just distance.
  • Leave room for stops: viewpoints, medieval villages and a coffee at the pass are worth the time.
  • Our 6-day route is designed so no stage exceeds 4 hours in the saddle.
