Day-by-day itinerary — 3-day self-guided tour Western Andalusia

Day 1 Day 2 Day 3
01

Málaga → Ronda

Departure · approx. 120 km

Your adventure begins in Málaga. Head inland through the Serranía de Ronda — winding mountain roads, dramatic gorges, and white villages that seem frozen in time. Arrive in Ronda and let the city perched above the El Tajo gorge do the rest.

Serranía de Ronda El Tajo gorge White villages Night in Ronda
02

Ronda → Tarifa

Mountain to coast · approx. 150 km

Leave Ronda and descend towards the Atlantic. The road takes you through cork oak forests, natural parks, and the white town of Vejer before reaching Tarifa — Europe's southernmost point, with Africa visible across the strait on a clear day.

03

Tarifa → Málaga

Coastal return · approx. 210 km

The final leg follows the Costa del Sol back to Málaga — Mediterranean light, seaside towns, and the satisfying feeling of a route completed on your own terms. Drop off the bike and carry the roads with you.

Before you ride

Quick tips for your self-guided tour in Andalusia

1

Prepare your bike & gear

You are already the rider flowing through Andalusia's roads.

  • Check oil, brakes, and chain before departure (our team covers this if rented).
  • Road tires in good condition — you'll face curves, coast, and mountain passes.
  • Pack light: essential riding gear, layers for day/night temperature changes.

2

Navigate with confidence

The route is designed, you just have to enjoy it.

  • GPS and maps are provided — get familiar before starting each stage.
  • Offline navigation recommended in rural or mountain areas (covered if rented).
  • Trust the plan: every road is chosen to maximise beauty and safety.

3

Plan your stops

Andalusia is not only roads — it's culture, food, and rhythm.

  • Stop in white villages for tapas and local charm.
  • Refuel when the tank is half — rural stretches may be long.
  • Take breaks at scenic viewpoints: part of the trip is to slow down and absorb.

4

Choose the right time

The Land of Light shines all year, but timing enhances the ride.

  • Spring: blossoms and perfect weather.
  • Summer: coast and evening rides are ideal.
  • Autumn: golden light, fewer crowds.
  • Winter: crisp skies, mountain roads with fewer tourists.
