Motorcycle Rental FAQ

Our entire fleet is Triumph branded and we have current and new models available: Tiger 900 GT pro, 900 Rally, 1200 GT pro, Tiger 660 and exceptionally models such as Scrambler 400X AND 1200XE. We may launch different models and you will be able to see this by doing a search or checking a quote in our booking system.

We usually have a fleet where we have two-year-old models, but our bikes are usually no more than 6 or 7 months old or 18,000 kilometres.

What are the requirements for renting a motorbike?

In the case of larger displacement motorbikes (Tiger 900/1200 and scrambler 1200) you must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum age: 25 years old
  • Driving licence, A or its equivalent in Europe.
  • In the case of customers outside the European Union, an additional international driving licence is required
  • Credit card (only to be registered at the beginning of the rental in case of damage at the end of the rental in order to block the excess).

In the case of smaller displacement motorbikes (Tiger 660 & scrambler 400) you must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum age: 21 years
  • A2 driving licence or equivalent in Europe.
  • In the case of customers outside the European Union, an additional international driving licence is required
  • Credit card (only to be registered at the beginning of the rental in case of damage at the end of the rental period in order to block the excess).

Only the driver indicated in the contract. There is no option for additional drivers.

Customers from the European Union will have to prove:

  • Your personal document or passport
  • Your driving licence, provided that you have the corresponding licence to drive our motorbikes.

Customers from outside the European Union must provide proof of:

  • Your personal document or passport
  • Their driving licence, provided they have the corresponding license to drive our motorbikes (original from their country).
  • International driving licence. This requirement is compulsory and not having it may result in the non-delivery of the rental motorbike. Please make sure you have an international driving licence before travelling to Spain.

Rental motorbikes are for road use only and cannot be used for off-road activities.  The insurance does not cover off-road driving and participation in off-road activities. This may result in a direct fine by the forestry agents and also any personal incidents and incidents with other drivers would not be covered, being the client the only responsible for the possible consequences.

  • 300 kilometres per day up to 6 days of rental included and unlimited mileage after 7 days of rental. The kilometres are counted from the total of the rental.
  • Fully comprehensive insurance with an excess of 1.200€.
  • Top case and side cases

  • Up to 6 days of rental, each extra kilometre that exceeds the established global calculation, will be charged 0.36 cents/km extra.
  • Premium insurance. For 20€ bike/day the excess would be reduced to 300€ (in case of models like Tiger 660, 900, scrambler 1200 and scrambler 400) and 500€ (in case of higher models like Tiger 1200).
  • Extras: Equipment, transport, mobile stand, etc.
  • Petrol 95
  • Tolls, fines, parking tickets, etc.

  • You can travel to Spain and Portugal

    If you are interested in travelling to Europe, you should consult directly with the customer service: limit of kilometres and conditions (price, insurance, etc).

    If you are interested in travelling to Morocco, the conditions are as follows:

    • Make the request for this service in advance by email to info@triumphadventure.es
    • Special rates
    • Only fully comprehensive insurance applies with an excess of 1200€.
    • Maximum daily mileage limit: 300km/day (regardless of the number of days of rental).
    • Exclusive use on the road without access to campsites, routes such as Agudal or Carcel Portuguesa.

At our rental point in Malaga, you can book any day of the year and the minimum rental period is 24 hours from the first day at the selected time until the next day at the same time and so on.

At our rental point in Barcelona, you can book except Saturday and Sunday. You can book from Monday to Friday without any problem. Friday rentals must be made until Monday morning.

COMPLETE EQUIPMENT

Helmet, gloves, jacket, trousers and boots. We recommend that you reserve these at the time of purchase or in advance of your booking as we have limited stock.

Currently we only have equipment available at our rental point in Malaga.

If you are interested in renting in Barcelona, please email us (info@triumphadventure.es) at least 15-10 days in advance of your rental date (subject to availability).

CONSIGNA

For a small fee, you can leave your belongings (suitcases, bags, etc.) in our facilities until your return. Don’t worry, we have security cameras and alarms.

OTHER EXTRAS

Mobile phone holder, USB adapter (only for older bikes or certain models), nets to hold your bag or rucksack, intercoms, etc.

At the moment deliveries and returns have to be made at the same point. If you are interested in picking up at one point and dropping off at another, please send us an email to info@triumphadventure.es with your request and we will let you know if it is possible and give you a quote.

During your rental, various situations may arise. Below, we outline how to handle them:

  1. Mechanical Breakdown

In the rare event of a mechanical issue, please:

  • Pull over to a safe, shaded area if possible.
  • Turn off the engine and wait a few minutes.
  • Contact our Customer Service Team via WhatsApp at +34 679 508 150 for assistance.

We will work with you to find the most suitable solution.

  1. Questions About the Motorcycle’s Operation

At the start of your rental, we always offer a detailed explanation of how the selected model works.

If you have any questions during the rental, please contact our Customer Service Team via WhatsApp for immediate support.

  1. In the Event of an Accident

Accidents can be complex, and it’s important to act appropriately depending on the situation:

3.1 Accident Without Personal or Third-Party Damage

If you are involved in an accident where:

  • You are alone.
  • There is no personal injury or third-party damage:
    • Contact our Customer Service Team and send photos of the incident.
    • If the motorcycle is functional and has no severe damage, you may continue your rental.
    • If the motorcycle is not functional, inform us, and we will arrange a tow truck to collect it.

3.2 Accident With Personal Injury

If you are involved in an accident and sustain injuries:

  • Call the Emergency Services at 112 immediately.
  • The police will prepare an official report and contact the insurance company.
  • To the extent possible, inform us of your current situation by contacting our Customer Service Team.

3.3 Accident Involving Another Vehicle

If the accident involves another vehicle, regardless of whether there are damages:

  • Call the Emergency Services at 112 immediately.
  • Prepare an accident report with the other party involved or rely on the police to create an official report.
  • If you are uninjured, contact our Customer Service Team, and we will arrange for a tow truck if needed.

You only have to make the reservation on our website indicating the driver’s details, your email and indicating your details as the buyer. This way the person will come to our facilities without knowing that this is their birthday present. If you want us to do something specific, send us an email to info@triumphadventure.es

If cancellation is received more than 30 days before the start of the rental period, 50% of the payment will be refunded; 30 to 16 days before the start of the rental period 20% of the total rental amount will be refunded, 15 days or less before the start of the rental period 0% will be refunded.

It is possible to change the dates of the rental period only once with a surcharge. You must give at least five working days’ notice of the change, providing the new rental days which must be within 12 months of the original dates, subject to our availability calendar.

THE SURCHARGE FOR CHANGE OF DATES IS 20% OF THE ORIGINAL RENTAL COST WITH A MINIMUM OF 100EUROS. If we have availability on the new requested booking date, your change request is subject to our cancellation policy.

In the case of one-off offers offered to the client, these are non-refundable.

In case of COVID-19 no refund will be made and no voucher will be issued for later use. Cancellation terms and conditions shall apply at all times.

It is recommended that cancellation insurance be taken out to cover cancellation costs due to illness, COVID-19, force majeure, etc.

A search engine will appear where you will have to select:

  • Place where you want to rent the motorbike
  • Date and time of start of rental
  • Date and time of end of rental
  • Click on search

Subsequently, all the models available on the selected dates will appear and you will be able to choose:

  • Early sale prices (2% or 3% cheaper depending on the model) and provided that the reservation is made more than 15% in advance.
  • Prices at the official rate but allowing payment in two instalments. 50% payment at the time of booking and the rest 15 days before the start of the rental.

Once you have decided on the rate, click on “SELECT”. On the next screen you will see the rental summary but you will still be able to choose:

  • the type of insurance you want
  • and below the extras

If you go further down you will be able to continue the booking as follows:

  • “I’M ALREADY REGISTERED” if you have an account.
  • I AM NOT REGISTERED” if you do not have an account. You will have to fill in all the data, the ID number, accept the consent and confirm.

Once you have these details, go to the top right and click on “BOOK NOW”.

In the next step you will see the final summary of your booking (check it) and click on “GO TO PAYMENT”.

At the bottom you will see where “ADD CARD” and if you have a discount coupon, you must enter it in the place provided not forgetting to click on “ACTIVATE”.

If you are performing a search and have started a booking, please do not open any more pages within the browser. This will result in a new bike being blocked each time until there is no availability.

Sessions for each booking remain active and lock each selected model for around 10 minutes.

Here are the most common problems when making a booking

  • The system does not allow you to select the pick-up and drop-off location.
    • Make sure you enter the correct pick-up office and if it does not appear, open a new window with the search engine as the page may be blocked or you may have to refresh it.
  • You cannot select the dates
    • Please do not enter dates manually. Always click on the calendar to select them.
    • If you see the same date for collection and return, select the return date first and then the collection date.
  • You cannot make the payment.
    • Sometimes when you enter your card and accept, the customer’s bank will ask for an acceptance from the customer. It is important to keep an eye on your phone or email in case you receive an SMS or email confirming that we are going to debit your account.
    • Please try this process only once and if the system fails, please contact customer services to check the reason for the rejection of the booking and payment (+34 679 50 81 50). We will help you with the booking process

In order for the booking and delivery process to run smoothly, it is essential that the following information is correctly entered in the booking form:

If a user wants to make a reservation for several customers, he/she must fill in the requested details of the driver and then your details as the buyer. If the user makes all the bookings with your user name, he/she must send an email to info@triumphadventure.es indicating the details of each client and the motorbike booked for each of them.

If the user is the final customer, the data entered must be the following:

  • Full name
  • Date of birth (this is essential to know if we authorise the rental)
  • ID or correct personal identification number
  • Telephone number
  • Correct e-mail address
  • Address

– We recommend that each client makes their reservation to specify their personal details.

To deliver your motorbike we will follow the following process:

– The delivery of the motorbike will be made at the time indicated on the motorbike or 30 minutes before. The system does not allow delivery before that time.

– On arrival at the premises we will ask you for the following documents:

  • ID or passport
  • Driver’s license from your country and if you are not a European citizen, the international driving licence in addition.
  • Credit card. We will check you in without any initial charge.

– Once we have the documents, we will go to our application and register the documents and the details of the motorbike (km, fuel, pick-up place and photos).

– The customer will sign the contract which will be sent to him by e-mail. If you don’t receive it, you should let us know so that we can send it to you by WhatsApp.

– If you need any extra at the pick-up, please let us know when you arrive at our offices to check availability and budget.

Several situations can occur during your rental:

               Breakdown. Exceptionally, a breakdown may occur. In this case, please stop in the shade, if possible, switch off the engine for a few minutes and contact our customer service by WhatsApp (+34 679 508 150) so that we can find the most appropriate solution.

               Doubts about the handling. At the beginning of the rental, we always offer to show you how to operate the selected model so that you do not have any problems. If during the rental you have any doubts about the use of the vehicle, you can contact our customer service via WhatsApp so that we can help you.

               ACCIDENT. This is the most complex situation in which you can find yourself and we indicate how to act here below:

  • Accident if the driver is alone, has no damage of his own and has not caused damage to others.

You will need to contact customer service and send photos.

– If the motorbike is working and there is no serious damage, you can continue with the motorbike.

– If the motorbike does not work, let us know and we will send a tow truck to pick it up.

  • Accident if the driver is alone but there is damage.

– In this case you should call the emergency number 112 and the police will make a report and contact the insurance company. If possible, the client should contact us to let us know the current situation in which he/she finds himself/herself.

  • Accident of the driver with other vehicles, whether or not there is damage.

– They should contact the emergency telephone number 112 and contact us.

– A report should be made between the parties or the police should make a report.

– If the driver is OK, you should contact customer service and we will arrange for the tow truck to be dispatched.

The client must return the motorbike at the time indicated in the reservation or within the established timetable from Monday to Friday.

In the case of Saturday afternoons and Sundays, the return will be exclusively at the time indicated in the reservation. If you want the return at another time, you must contact us by WhatsApp (+34679508150) at least 2 hours before the booking and we will let you know if it is possible at the time you request.

When the customer returns the bike, the process will be as follows:

– On arrival, the customer must remove their belongings from the panniers of the motorbikes if they have used them.

– Our staff will close the rental by checking the following beforehand

  • Time of return
  • Kilometres travelled
  • If the fuel tank is returned in the same condition as when it was handed over.
  • Photos of the motorbike and damage check

– If the motorbike is returned later, if the mileage is higher than the established mileage or if the fuel tank is returned with a lower level of fuel, a surcharge will be made on your card (outside of the excess).

– If there is damage to the motorbike, the excess will be blocked according to the contracted insurance, a damage assessment will be carried out by the experts and the value of the damage will be indicated to you afterwards.

– If any damage has occurred during the rental period, please inform us as failure to report such damage will result in the full amount of the deposit being charged.
