Itinerary
Day 1. Barcelona – Carcasona. 375km
Meeting point in Ace Café in Barcelona where we will carry out technical revisions and administrative procedures. Once ready, we set off through the curves of the Pyrenees until we reach the country of the “savoir faire“—France. Numerous towns and cities will surprise you, like in the case of Perpignan. Additionally, we will cross the Gorges de Galamus—two kilometres of road that were excavated in rock by only seven people, and where the curves follow each other through the rocky formations, the waterfalls and the gorge. An intense day that ends when arriving to Carcassonne: a medieval city declared a World Heritage Site by the Unesco.
Free afternoon (depending on arrival time)
Sarlat. Stay in a 3-star hotel with breakfast included.
Day 2. Carcasona – Sarlat 290 Km
After breakfast, we will begin a much more relaxed day than the previous one. We will pass by two beautiful cities: Toulouse known for its aeronautics, and Montauban with its busy streets. However, it’s probably the Regional Park of Causses du Quercy the biggest attraction thanks to its impressive biodiversity, vegetation, castles and villas like Cahors or Saint-Cirq-La Popie. Our journey continues until reaching Sarlat—one of the medieval cities named the City of Art and History of France.
Free afternoon (depending on arrival time)
Sarlat. Stay in a 3-star hotel with breakfast included.
Day 3. Sarlat – La Rochelle 350 km
We leave this charming city and continue on our way passing by towns like Saint Geniés or Montignac. In this tour we will enjoy seeing towns like Bergerac, known for its wines and the famous movie character who actually was never there. We will also pass by Perigueux, right on the way to Santiago and with the cathedral of Saint-Font. We will end this day in La Rochelle, with a port on the Atlantic Ocean and characteristic Towers—one of the points of the “Red Bull Cliff Diving”.
Free afternoon (depending on arrival time)
La Rochelle. Stay in a 3-star hotel with breakfast included.
Day 4. La Rochelle – Quimper 370 km
After seeing the sunrise near the sea, we continue our journey passing by the Baie de Aiguillon reserve and towns like Saint Nazare, Carnac, Concornau or Lorient—areas very close to the ocean. On our way, we will pass by Vannes, a village of the French Bretagne, with wonder fortresses and castles. Nonetheless, it will be in our destination of Quimper where we will enjoy its three characteristic neighbourhoods: Locmaria, the episcopal and the dukes of Bretagne one. Also, here the Cornualles festival takes place annually.
Free afternoon (depending on arrival time)
Quimper. Stay in a 3-star hotel with breakfast included.
Day 5. Quimper – Brest – Morlaix – Dinan 300 km
From Quimper it will be interesting to pass through the Armorica Regional Park with its eternal valleys, infinite views and large cliffs. Once we leave, we will pass by Brest and Morlaix—Roscoff being a must on our way. Its ports and beaches will make you fall in love and relax on this part of the journey. A few kilometres ahead is our stopping point—Dinan. Its three kilometres of walls, castle and medieval history of ancient professions make it a charming city.

Day 6. Dinan – Saint Michel – Caen – night FERRY (to Portsmouth). 250Km

A unique display where the low and high tides change the scenery and where more than a hundred mussel fishing platforms share the landscape with this small walled city.
After this mesmerizing visit, we continue our journey towards Caen passing by the ports and beaches. From here we hop on the ferry to Porstmouth, a port city and naval base of southern England and the legendary HMS Victory ship (in which Nelson died during the Battle of Trafalgar) and the 1860 HMS Warrior.
